Aria Nateska she/her

Aria is a trans junior doctor currently based on Wadawurrung Country in Ballarat. Aria has lived in many towns in regional Victoria, including Sale, Shepparton, and Ballarat. Her lived experience in these towns, and the isolation she felt as a young queer person in these places drive Aria’s passion and work with Speak and LGBTIQA+ communities. Aria aims to contribute to reducing feelings of isolation and promote education on LGBTIQA+ related topics for people living in regional Victoria.

Aria has seen the direct impact of LGBTIQA+ training sessions in organisations and workplaces on promoting an inclusive environment, as well as the benefit a sense of community can bring, and hopes that in future these can become more widespread and available.
