The Hive is a facilitated program providing a safe and educational space for parents and carers of transgender, gender non-conforming and/or questioning people. Running weekly across 4 weeks, The Hive helps build understanding and knowledge about gender identity and sexuality, highlights the different experiences of a young person who is exploring and/or affirming their gender identity and ways to provide ongoing support.
We’re building a network of families with similar experiences to join our program and provide ongoing support and connecting after completion of the 4-week program.
Our program provides an opportunity to share personal experiences and feelings, work through anxieties and concerns, ask questions and feel heard, find advice on navigating social, medical and educational settings, coping strategies and exchange firsthand information about experiences, challenges and solutions.
